Fun Gadgets for Golfers

If you are looking for a unique gift for the golfer in your life, you will find many cool gadgets that they will enjoy using. There is something for the serious golfer who dreams of being a pro, as well as for the person who doesn’t care what his handicap is.

SensoGlove

Regardless of whether your golfer is serious about their game or just learning the sport, the SensoGlove can be a helpful tool. It has tiny sensors placed in different areas of the glove that will monitor your grip. The glove has a digital monitor that will analyze the pressure of your swing to make it more accurate. If you press too hard, an alarm will go off to make you loosen your grip.

Twilight Supernova

This is a fun gadget if your golfer doesn’t know when to quit in the evening. It is a professional quality ball that has an LED light so you can see it in twilight. After you hit it, it will flash for eight minutes to allow you to find it. The battery lasts for up to three hundred hits, or about forty hours.

Are Schools Making Kids Sick?

Are Schools Making Kids Sick?

Besides the typical illnesses that can be passed around in a classroom, there are more serious issues occurring in schools around the nation. Students and teachers are getting sick from the air in schools, and even from being in a school that may have been built on a contaminated site (from chemicals or oil). Schools can also be a habitat for mold, mildew, dust, and other irritants in the air. Windows in most schools do not open now, which means that air is not being circulated as much. In a survey of school nurses nationwide, 40 percent knew that children and staff were being affected by indoor pollutants. Older schools and schools that have been subjected to budget cuts may have this problem more often.

One of the best ways to make sure that your child will stay healthy after attending school is to do some research about the school; when was it built, what was on or near the land at that time, and what is around the school now. Visiting the school may also be helpful since you will be able to see how the school is maintained and what condition it is in. Besides researching and visiting schools before choosing one, here are some ways to help your children (and your whole family) stay healthy.

-Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and nutrition to keep their immune system healthy.

-Encourage your children to wash their hands after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after recess. You can send hand sanitizer or individually wrapped hand wipes with them so they can use these if not by a sink. Teachers will also welcome donations of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.

4 Ways to Provide Excellent Customer Service

4 Ways to Provide Excellent Customer Service

In a down economy, one of the best ways to ensure your success is to create loyalty with your customers. The way to do this is to provide better customer service than your competitors. Provide the best customer service you can, and you will have a successful business.

Don’t Assume

Find out what your customers want. Don’t assume you know what they need. Talk to potential customers and find out what their expectations are. What are they looking for in your type of business? You can start with a small product and ask questions of customers. You can take a survey, or send out emails to get opinions. You may think no one will respond, but customers will give their opinions if they believe they will be heard.

Train Your Employees

Regardless of whether you have two employees or two-hundred, they need to be trained on customer service. You may think they should know how to provide good customer service, but you need to train them to your expectations. You should have standards in place that everyone is expected to follow. These should be concrete and easy to track, so you know which areas are on target and which ones can be improved.

How to Plan an Unforgettable Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day should be all about celebrating the love in your life. Here are a few ways to plan an unforgettable Valentine’s Day, no matter what stage in a relationship you are at.

If you have been together 25 years…

When you have been together for this long, celebrate your past Valentine’s Day with a scrapbook of mementos, or a piece of special jewelry, or a romantic note asking him or her to be your Valentine.

If you have been together for 10 years…

Take some time to spend the day doing what you both love most. A little spontaneity can add some spice; a helicopter ride around the city, a horse and carriage ride, or a special dinner. Gifts can include something that the other would like as well. Tickets to a sports game or a spa day can be a way to let the other person recharge their batteries. You don’t have to feel pressured to spend a lot of money though. Just knowing how much you are loved can be the best present of all.

How to Make a Splash at Your New Job

If you are starting on a new job or just want to improve at the job you currently have, here are ten tips that will help you make a great impression.

1. Get ready for your new job.
If it’s possible, take some time off before you start so you can rest and plan ahead. During this time you can do things that will make your first few weeks on the job a lot easier. You can plan how you will get to work (including alternate routes) and how long your commute will take, so you can be sure to get to work on time. You can also plan ahead for meals and clean up your living space so that you can focus mainly on starting your job right.

2. Dress the part for your new job.
The right clothes can help you look professional and also give you a confidence boost. This may include treating yourself to an updated wardrobe to make sure your clothes fit in with your new work environment. You may want to notice what everybody else is wearing during your interview or on your first day. However, if other people are wearing more casual clothes, you may want to dress more professionally since you are new to the job.
