Jamaican born and raised, our family believes that education creates the path to independence, knowledge and self-respect. With this upbringing you will understand why I work with clients the way I do.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Jamaica from the University of the West Indies, specializing in Management Studies. I also took separate studies in Spanish literature and was fluent in Spanish for several years.
After graduating from York University in Canada with my Masters in Business Administration degree in Marketing, I came to Houston and worked with Xerox, AT&T and SBC (“the corporate world”) for25 years, marketing telecommunications and data products, applications and software.
As a Broker, (like a PhD in the Realtor world), I still believe that education is “the Key” and attend classes offered by Houston Association of Realtors, and training sessions offered by any organization to help me understand new techniques and strategies. Luxury Homes, Short Sales (I am Short Sale certified), Foreclosures, Building Green, Land and Ranch, Veteran’s Loans – these are only a few. I help my clients research opportunities that fit their life goals and financial objectives. Whether it is finding a home or business, or finding the best investment properties, I spend time qualifying my clients, asking questions that help me to find and analyze the best options for them.
I spend my non real estate time as a mother to my son Justin. He is a Finance genius and invests my money wisely and profitably. I have held board positions for charitable organizations and work with other charities as the need arises in fundraising activities. I am the 2011 and 2012 Chairman for the Fort Bend Houston Association of Realtors Business Networking organization which is a non-profit networking group serving all realtors, title companies, builders and others in the Fort Bend area (Sugar Land, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Katy). I manage my own investment properties.
As an animal lover I advocate having pets to reduce stress, and love to travel and experience different cultures. I believe in exercise to keep the body and the mind youthful, and love to swim!
