The International Consumer Electronic Show (2012) just wrapped up on January 13, and the four day show gave 153,000 people (an all time attendance record) a sneak peak at what may be on the shelves soon. This show is where we first saw the VCR in 1970, Pong in 1975, the CD player in 1981, and the plasma TV. Since the show is not open to the public, here is a look at what people saw at the CES this year.
LG Winning Best of Show
CNET presented the Best of CES 2012 Awards and awarded LG’s 55EM9600 OLED TV with the top prize. They will be releasing the TV in the third business quarter of this year. The color reproduction is considered superior to what has been seen with TVs previously and at just 4 millimeters thick, it will be the thinnest TV that people have seen to date. You can watch the video of the CNET awards to see the entire ceremony.
Samsung Presenting the Galaxy Note
Samsung presented their new product, the Galaxy Note. This new product is part phone and part tablet. It features a larger screen, utilizes the whole screen, is powerful, and is targeted towards creative people since it is good for free capturing and creation. People who would love to be able to just jot down a quick note will love this product. Samsung says that this new device could be the one device that can replace all the rest, since it allows people to play games, look at pictures, watch videos, browse the web, and send emails.
