ICSC Launches New Mobile App

With REcon Las Vegas a few days away, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has launched a mobile App in the hopes of making us all more efficient.  The App is loaded with a complete member directory and directory floor plans which should help in navigating the enormous Las Vegas Convention Center.  Many devices are compatible including iPhone, Blackberry, iPad, and Droid.

The App, which is available in the App store or by clicking the link below, has standard features like attendee lookup, exhibitor listing & search, and lots of cool new features such as Live Twitter feeds, One click email & call functionality, and event registration.

Vanguard Leases Office Space to Walmart

It's no longer a secret that Walmart will be opening near the intersection of Harbor Blvd. and Imperial Hwy in La Habra.  A building previously occupied by Target.  And when the company who employs over 2 million people needed to locate some office space in the area, they called local brokers at Vanguard Commercial.

Travis Dunn and Cameron Irons have completed a lease with the worlds largest retailer for office space to house their administration, construction, and staffing teams through the period prior to store opening.

UP: Projected jobs growth in Orange County, which will lead Southern California in jobs creation through 2014, according to an economic forecast by California State University, Long Beach. The report projects 26,500 new jobs in OC this year, a 1.9% annual uptick, to be followed by a 3% gain next year. Top jobs growth is expected in business and professional services.

DOWN: OC home prices, which fell 2.4%, on average in March compared with a year earlier, according to Santa Ana-based real estate data provider CoreLogic Inc. The average price was unchanged from 2011 with distressed property sales excluded from the comparison.
